Today, it is no secret that war is always being waged somewhere in the world. From border control to control over resources. From arms races to shows of power. Our world was built upon many things, one such thing being war. But today, media and the internet allow information to spread so quickly, almost impossible to prevent information from slipping under the eyes of the government. With that information making its way to the public, many efforts and groups fuel themselves with it. One such effort is Antiwar groups. But what we don't see often, if at all, is these antiwar protests and arguments making their way to mainstream news sources and media. But why? Well, the answer is rather simple. A nation at war never seeks to strengthen insurrection or doubt in its military.

Nations at war don't only need the strength of their armies or the funding from their government. But the support of its civil population is just as important. So making sure that information regarding the war supports the nation is key to keeping that civil support. But that does not mean the groups who fight for antiwar causes are silent. But you hardly see their efforts put on mainstream sites, not until they are public protesting, or cause enough of a scene that it gets the attention of those networks.

I believe it's difficult to find these antiwar websites, like antiwar.com, and The American Conservative, because of their lack of presence in mainstream media. Without the ability to widespread their messages, their websites become buried under the algorithm of popularity, and what search engine companies consider "valuable". It's not just a matter of the government keeping the sites from mainstream popularity, but also the struggle of keeping the site within those that receive more view counts and time while open.
